Yuting Zhang, PhD, is Associate Professor of Health Economics, and the founding Director of the Pharmaceutical Economics Research Group in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Mental Health Policy and Economics. Professor Zhang's research focuses on economic evaluations of health policy and health insurance markets, with a focus on pharmaceutical policy. Her research has been published in leading medicine, health policy, and economics journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Health Affairs, Health Services Research, American Economic Review, and has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and on National Public Radio. She has led several funding from the U.S. Institute of Medicine, the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality, Commonwealth Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She received her BA summa cum laude from Renmin University of China, and her MS in Health Policy & Management and her PhD in Health Policy with a concentration in economics, both from Harvard University.
