刘晓云1998年毕业于上海医科大学预防医学本科，2003年获得复旦大学管理学博士学位。2003到2006年在复旦大学公共卫生学院任讲师，从事卫生统计和社会医学领域的教学和科研工作，2006到2010年在英国利物浦大学热带病医学院担任讲师，主要从事卫生系统和政策领域的研究和教学工作。2010年8月回国，加入北京大学中国卫生发展研究中心。

 

        刘晓云在卫生系统和卫生服务研究领域已有十多年的科研和教学工作经验。他负责和参加过多项由卫生部、世界银行、英国国际发展署、以及世界卫生组织等机构资助的科研项目，在多个发展中国家（中国、越南、印度等）开展有关医疗保障体系、卫生政策以及结核病防治等领域的工作。从2003年至今，刘晓云应邀分别为中国卫生部、地方卫生行政部门、世界卫生组织、英国国际发展署、以及国际非政府组织等机构提供咨询服务，咨询内容包括：结核病控制、初级卫生保健、国际卫生、以及社区卫生服务等。近年来在国际英文专业杂志发表论文10余篇。
