To respond to the global health crisis, promote the building of a health community with a shared future for mankind, support China's active engagement in the global health governance system, support the WHO's directing and coordinating role in global health governance, and advance its necessary and reasonable reforms to enhance the efficiency of the global health governance system, it is essential to conduct long-term and systematic research on global health governance. The research areas include the changes and trends of the global health governance system, as well as the influence and approaches of various countries within it; the organizational structure of the WHO its functional transformation, and the progress and dynamics of its reforms; the interactive relationships between the WHO and various actors in global health governance; the progress and dynamics of the development of major international regulations, policies, strategies, and technical norm and standards by the WHO. The researchers of the center have participated in multiple research projects of various institutions and organizations, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the WHO, the UNAIDS, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with published papers as the first authors or corresponding authors in high-level journals, includingThe Lancet, andBulletin of the World Health Organization.
